Uh, we can post the assignment here, correct? I REALLY do not want
to post other people's work on my blog ( I feel really uncomfortable
doing that.)
I choose to talk about my best friends art, because
really, I LOVE her stuff, and even though she is younger then me, I
thrive to get to her level! I plan to just pick out 3 of the newer works
she has done. I actually keep a folder of her work on my computer with
everything she has done for the past 4 years or so (which is why i said
ill pick more recent works!)
Picture 1
What
I really love about this picture is she uses a lot of bright colors.
Its just a simple drawing, showing what items are in her character's
bag, but everything from the style to the outfit and items themselves,
it just fits very well together. Now, I guess an issue that can be scene
with this drawing is that it is kind of simple (You know, no dynamic
poses, or backgrounds.), but i don't think this image really needs that
type of stuff. I think, if it didn't have everything on the right there,
then it would look really nice with a background and setting though.
Picture 2
This
picture probably works better on here then the first one, as it has a
background/setting and a bit more going on all together. I really love
the details she added to this picture, especially in the smaller areas
(Such as the lite up posters on the side and the stairs and elevator in
the back.) The perspective of this looks really neat as well, I think it
must have been hard to do, even with a photo as a reference (Though I
don't think she used a reference, but if she did i doubt it was exactly
like this.) The only thing I think she really could have worked on is
the line work. While I do love her style and sketching look to her
pictures, some of the lines are really just lopsided for my taste (the
pillars are an example.)
Picture 3
This
picture is one of my favorite styles she draws in. She uses a photo
that she has taken, draws over it, then retakes the picture with her
camera on her computer, making everything blend well together. I
actually have a post card she did of one of these pictures, it really
fits well with card themes I think. I love that she uses simplistic
cartoon characters as well, instead of overly detailed characters. The
photos she uses are very empty, as in they have no people or over
clustered items, but yet they fill in her picture a lot! Its really just
perfect.

Doodly Doodly Doodly Doo
Just gonna drop off 3 pictures I doodled the past week. I haven't really done much for once, I think its mainly because of work kicking me in the teeth.
First one up is a nice little picture of Hanako. I think I have posted her on here before? Maybe not. She isnt one of my most clean characters, and I think I like to draw her with blood a lot (Not because she is violent, but because its simple to mask mistakes ahahaha.) Anyways, I did this in pen uh.. thats about it. Don't you love how sloppy my Japanese is? I can do decent Thai, but everything else I touch turns to gloop.
These two look a bit plan... and they kinda are. I did them on my 3Ds screen though, which is pretty tiny and CONVENIENTLY enough, never 100% aligned correctly with my 3Ds pen. I don't think the collaboration is off.. I actually think its just the program, since it seems that I only have problems with just the program. Anyways, I did the top one (who is supposed to be Ao from Eureka Seven) while falling half asleep on my bed. It explains why his eyes look kinda weird and alien like ahaha. He doesn't really look 100% like the character Ao, but I kinda just went off by memory.
The second one is Hakunio, because seriously I think I draw him more then anyone else. I don't think I have really posted him on here with long hair (which is odd, because that's how he usually has his hair.. long that is.) Uh.. his hair is kinda funky, I tend to draw hair up in some random ass style when I feel like nothing is going right for the picture. His outfit looks odder then usual, but its kinda going through that 3 transition of Revamp.
Yeah.. pretty boring and slow post. I think I am kinda rushing it because at work like all day and I am exhausted... so Night. Oh btw, click the last two pictures above to see the animation on how I draw them (if you want, it will take you to another site though.)

魔女企図
I FINALLY FINISHED MY PROJECT! Gosh, it took 3 nights, longest I have spent on an art project. My right hand has this horrible sore on it now from holding those markers. I have a love/hate relationship with this one. Mainly the glaring errors I see on here. Most of it is "should have been white" or "line is missing" but besides that, its all good IMO.
I choose to do Hanako for this picture. Let me just clarify what the heck I drew here. Hanako is a witch, and in her world, witches are naturally violent creatures. The reason her left eye is droopy is because she has a human skull she can use as a weapon (skull is more like a floating orb thing) When she uses it, her eye becomes like that, all droopy. Her tongue is jagged because witches tend to have sharper teeth and tongues. The reason her arm is liek that, I actually can't say. There are things in her universe that disguise themselves as humans, but are monstrous looking in there normal flesh, and a few of them has arms like that, but Hanako isn't one of them. Anyways, I think thats all I can really explain about this picture hehe, everything else is just for fun I guess. Oh the eye on the left hand corner, that seems to be split weird, that's actually an eye a different character i have named Esfir has (Esfir is from a Horror video game I have been making on my computer for a while, since I feel like putting something nicer on here, here is what he/she looks like)
hehe Actually now that I think about it, they do kinda look the same? Though, Esfir has a more messed up face then body (well body isn't even shown, ans neither is Hanako's, who frankly has a normal body thank you!) Anyways, I think a lot of the things that are going on in the picture with Hanako probably would suit Esfir better. But I choose to draw Hanko instead, since I haven't done much of her in the past few months. (Although, the series Esfir is from has a Protagonist from another installment named Shannon, who wears a lot of black and white stripes.. so maybe it would have been better to pick someone from there series.)

REBD or is it like RED with a silent B in the middle?
Alright, so I did 2/3 of my homework. I better finish this project up soon, I still have 1 more to do and its due tomorrow (as in Tuesday not Monday). I would have started on the last piece, but im debating what I am going to do. Should I do another YGO themed one? Or something else? I think I might so something els,e something more dark and guro like, since thats how I roooollllllll. BUT short amount of time, and lack of creativity.
Anyways, so this is the White on Black piece I did. YES I used to different markers, its not that noticeable, but it was in the right light, thats for sure. Its kind of hard to see what the heck is going on, and I think that is its biggest downfall, but considering the topic, I like it at the same time. I couldn't make it that defined, because it kinda takes the whole "White on Black" thing and shoves it down someones throat. So yeah, squint your eyes and you might see some of the outlines I used, since i had to sketch out the monster before I did the coloring. ANYWAYS, the monster I did this time was Red Eyes Black Dragon, aka the total OPPOSITE of Blue Eyes White Dragon (I hope you see where I am going with this.) See, one dragon is BLACK.. the other is WHITE. Its like YIN YANG, LEFT RIGHT, MUSTARD KETCHUP. Its opposites, so that's why I choose REBD.
Actually, now that I think of it, since I did total opposites, I dont think I should do another YGO card as my final piece, cause that kinda kills it. I was going to do one of my favorite monsters, like Bickuribox or Evolzar Dolkka, but yeah they don't even FIT in the same CATAGORY as these two. I was thinking Black Magician, but again, just doesn't work. So ill do something totally unrelated!

Is it pronounced Bood or Beauwd?
So I have this project/homework assignment in one of my other art classes (I got three, thanks for not asking, jerk.) The project is to have 3 drawings done by tuesday (aka a week since it was signed.). One has to be White on Black, or pretty much Black would be the dominant color. One has to be Black on White, again, this time White is the dominant color. Then finally, the last one is a big cluster of both, where both black and white are dominant (think checkered board). So far though, I only have done 1 of the 3, the Black on White.
You might want to like, right click and "view image" or drag into another window so its a bigger size. (resizing is for chumps!) Anyways, so I did Blue Eyes White Dragon. This time, I obviously used a reference (seen next to it btw in-case you're that dense and oblivious to the picture in front of you.). I choose to do BEWD because of reasons. Actually, yeah its kind of obvious why I picked a Yu-Gi-Oh related subject, but the fact is a white dominant drawing, and that I had a Black dominant one later, I figured I would do Red Eyes Black Dragon on my other piece (thus making a lil yin yang thing going on, or what ever it is I am doing.) This was drawn on 11"x 14" Bristol paper (think cardboard) with sharpie. It took a few hours because of continuious erasing (I wanted it to be as exact as possible..) Sadly, I shifted from my right hand to left hand after 2 hours, so the inch board is a bit woobly (problem with using my left hand is I don't hold down my paper as strong with my right hand as I would with my left.)
er yep.. anyways that's really all for an update. Sorry I didn't scan it or have a nice quality upload, I dunno if it would have fitted in my scanner or not.

NOW IN TECHNICOLOR
jk not in color. Uh okay so like I think ill make this a somewhat short post (Me? Short? HAHAHA that's a good one, IT REALLY IS) Anyways I did uh these doodles yesterday. They really are just doodles, on paper, I wanted to see how strong these markers I got were, and they are pretty strong. I should actually test out my beldn copic on these, but that will be another pic for another time I think.
Anyways, Its Maybeck (the one with the darker skin) and Yuka (the one with thewtf-is-going-on-with-your-hair longer hair.) Uh, actually the Maybeck one was something i did during a different class (shhh I still was paying attention!) The other two I did last night. Anyways, I kind of like these markers, but I think i prefer copics more. It might be a color issue. Though, a big issue I have is I don't color inside the lines, its not artistic, its sloppy! Also if you care to nice, Yuka has two different hair styles (CONSISTENT MUCH?). I was trying to figure out why last night (Sometimes he has these two bangs going on, sometimes its cropped bangs) So, any idea why I did that might be helpful. Also fun fact: Maybeck is Haku's Bro and Yuka is one of Haku's current PHis (there is that word again Maybe one of my next post ill explain what a PHi is for you all~ Only a few people seem to understand what they are ahaha.!)
Anyways, Its Maybeck (the one with the darker skin) and Yuka (the one with the

A Horse is a Horse
Its unfinished Ofcourse. Cause If you have known me longer thne 2 weeks (chances are you haven't) You would know rarely finish work. Why is that? Is it my last of luster? Lack of attention? Lack of knowledge? its a lack of a lot of things actually. Anyways, I think the only picture I ever truley finished and LIKED on Comic Studio is the Kotori pic I submitted a few days ago. I had her all shaded out, and while her anatomy needed a tad more tweaking, it was perfect as far as I cared. (which wasnt far). So while I am at it, let me present you with a random Haku picture.
Yep. Unshaded, anatomy all wonky, and more like a sketch then anything. The reason behind that is because I didn't know how to plan out this page. See, here is a wonderful thing about comics, they don't just happen. You really got to plan out a page before you jump into it. You cant just say "Hey, how about we have Haku shooting an arrow at a target in school? because of reasons" and think its gonna come out asap. (Well you can, not everyone does it that way is the point darn-it). Usually, you sketch out how the story is going to play out, thne mess around with poses and stuff, then ????, then profit. Anyways, long story short = I didn't plan stuff out.
Okay so uh, this is my character Haku, from my main 'series' thing of sorts. this was like later in series type pick, where he is going to take a shot at Kyuudo/弓道. I drew him with a muneate/胸当て which is meant for females bow users, (he took the uniform from a female member, and wore the breast plate). Also If you haven't noticed, I stopped too early on this, and never finish the tsuru/弦 (or the yumi/弓 for that matter), so it looks like he is just holding an arrow like a weirdo (I wouldn't put it past him.)

Ye Old Doodle Spam
I feel horrible If I Don't have like 800000 post within a week (Can't you tell? I post more here then I do on twitter!) So Here are some random Oekaki doodles I have done in the past few months. Oekaki is a program that's pretty much like MS Paint, but its on the Internet. A lot of people have there own Oekaki boards, like me, though I haven;t been able to use it recently because of an issue with firefox (and google chrome is just too slow for my taste). What I like about Oekaki is you kind of have an excuse to do bad art. I mean, how should I explain this... If I feel inspired or the need to draw something, but im not in a good drawing mode, then oekaki works best for me, because no matter what, stuff can come out decent enough on there.
Yeah, I have a lot that I liked kind of ahaha. Ill go through them real quick I swear! III from YGO Zexal, Hakunio who is my personal character, Jono from YGO, Gagaga Magician Gal from YGO Zexal, Volk Xant who is also mine, Maybeck which is again my character, Truth from Eureka Seven AO, Chloe and Noa from the same series, Kaneko who is also my character, and lastly, Black Magician Girl from YGO (although this one is tan and is actually from a Fan Book from like 11 years ago or something ahahah) Hopefully my Firefox will fix itself soon, or I can buy a new Laptop and start drawing on oekakis again! I really want to, I used to work on an All Female Silent Hill collage, I only got up to maybe 15 girls before I stopped... I still had maybe 70 more too....

this is a title
I didn't really get anything done today. I got a new CD and I just ended up listening to it on loop and reading articles online. I tried to draw something, then I got
Kotori Drawing
I felt the need to draw something today. Uh, I don't want to get into details, but A lot of stuff is happening around me with family and friends recently, So I wanted to doodle to get my mind off things. I ended up drawing another character from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal names Kotori. She is a really cute character I think. The outfit I choose to draw her in was this one.
I did all of this digitally. I don't usually pillow shade the textures on my Comic Styled art, so It was a new experience for me! Also, this kind of is the first time I did something in a Comic Style that I really like! The image might look smallish, but it was originally over 2500 px tall, everything is actually pixelated (like it would if you did this in MS Paint.). So If I didnt resize it, it would look a little like this.
Thats really big, isnt it? ahahahaha
(probably the worse reference I can give you too. I dont feel like Hunting for a better angle...)
